abby girl sweets - yum!

jason & i visited abby girl sweets on 5th street between race and vine today after a lunch at lunch on main which.. is on.. main street. tehe.

jason got the double trouble (buttercream filled chocolate cupcake dipped in ganache) & i got a key lime (perfect for our lemon / lime wedding, no?) i'm excited to say it was really delicious! moist, moist, cake. great icing. jason said it was his new favorite cupcake place. (we've been a fan of sweeterie and bonbonerie for awhile for cupcakes, and sugar in milford's icing... which we seriously just want to eat vats of their icing)

definitely abby girl is in the forefront of runners for our cupcaker-er.

plus they have a key lime cupcake! it was a seasonal flavor though. it had a limey-icing, a yellow cake that was moist and had a slight lime tang to it, with a key lime cream in the middle that i barely noticed - i had to eat quickly - once we got to piatt park to eat it i had 5 minutes to get back into work! 

jason's was really good as well - the ganache was creamy and the chocolate cake had good flavor and was super moist. the buttercream was soo good. check out all the photos!!
